Ihsan Trust is a non-profit organization that aims to provide financial assistance to at least one hundred thousand needy students seeking Higher Education across Pakistan
Ihsan Trust’s Mission Statement:
To reach out and help the poor and needy in a manner that is only according to the principles of Islam so as to take care/look after the well being of poor and needy and to encourage the socio economic uplift of the low income community in order to increase the economic prosperity of the society, ultimately contributing towards the betterment of Pakistan.
OBJECTIVES:
To raise the standard of living of the under privileged, neglected sections of the population. They plan on doing this by creating a sustainable system for the welfare of these neglected segments of the society. Their objectives include:
- Educational & Skill Development
- Rural Development
- Health & Hygiene
- Immediate relief to the affected of any natural disaster/ calamity
- Rehabilitation and other community building services
- Qarz-e-Hasna
- Establishment and operation of orphanages
- Providing funds for the marriage of poor girls
- Assist indebted poor people
- Islamic Microfinance
Ihsan Trust Financial Assistance Program for Higher Education:
QARZ-E-HASNA (Interest Free Loan):
One of the major focus of the trust is providing Qarz-e-Hasna (Interest free loan) for Education to the needy and deserving students of the leading universities of Pakistan. Through this scheme the Ihsan Trust bears the educational expenses of the students on purely “Need cum Merit” basis in order to enable them to complete their Higher Education.
The repayment policy for the Qarz-e-Hasna is as follows:
- The amount of Qarz-e-Hasna sanctioned to the selected student depends on his/her need and eligibility.
- During the study period, the student has to pay a nominal, token repayment amount (depending upon the financial position of the candidates, his/her parent’s/guardians monthly income) to the Ihsan Trust as repayment.
- After the completion of his/her education, the repayment amount for the Qarz-e-Hasna is to be adjusted according to the income of the student

BAQAI INSTITUTE OF DIABETOLOGY & ENDOCRINOLOGY (BIDE):
Baqai Institute of Diabetology & Endocrinology (BIDE) was established in 1996 as first specialty oriented center of Pakistan working in Health Sector (Diabetes & Endocrinology). BIDE is one of the eight centers of the world, which are designated as International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Centre of Education.
As a non-profit organization, BIDE is serving unprivileged communities under Baqai Foundation in health the sector. The Institute besides its educational role also caters to the needs of ailing individuals in the form of clinical services. Their Laboratory services ensure the best consultation. It was formally inaugurated on Sept 05, 2013. This will help BIDE to help them in continuity of their working & ensuring valued services for community in General. Ihsan Trust has also signed MOU with BIDE to provide Qarz e Hasna facility to the doctors doing one year specialized Diploma in Diabetology from BIDE.
Islamic MicrofinanceThe Ihsan Trust has also made inroads in Islamic Micro financing. They strongly believe that Islamic micro financing is one of the most important tools to eradicate poverty from the society. Ihsan Trust has partnered with AKHUWAT and Wasil Foundation to provide Islamic Financing to the underprivileged segments of the society
