The Anjuman Kashana-e-Atfal-o-Naunihal, is an Institution for destitute and orphan girls, and for abandoned and unclaimed babies. It was established under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and Control) Ordinance 1961 (XLVI of 1961) Registration No. DSW/662 dated 19th May’ 1965. It has been serving the cause of these less fortunate girls of our country for over 60 years.

We have at present, 126 girls in the Kashana between 6 – 24 years. These girls are being educated in reputable schools and colleges and are encouraged to pursue careers to enable them to become positive and contributing members of society. When ready, suitable spouses are also identified, and their marriages arranged. Additionally, we have placed 800 abandoned babies, so far, with loving and respectable families all over the world.

This Institution has no regular source of income and is being run by a group of individuals, mainly on donations and help extended by various philanthropists, companies, and organizations. Our annual expenses are currently approximately Rs 36 million (given the rate of inflation this figure is likely to rise). This amount is spent on boarding and lodging, education, medical expenses, repair, maintenance, transportation, utility bills and does not cater for major incidental requirements/projects, such as construction, purchase of vehicles, major repairs and replacement of existing fittings and fixtures etc.
