Why?
According to the UN, up to 40% of Pakistanis are living below the poverty line in Covid-19’s viral wake. The holy month of Ramadan is one that teaches us the value of giving, empathy, and helping the poor – so we must keep in our thoughts and prayers those in need. With a looming pandemic, record-breaking temperatures, and spiraling inequality, we must step up.
Ramadan reminds us that there are millions of people throughout Pakistan who don’t know where their next meal is coming from. While you are at home with your loved ones preparing for your Iftar, you can make it possible that someone less fortunate than you is also fed.
How?
With your help, The i-Care Foundation aims to provide Iftar to at least 25,000 people. Given the Covid SOPs, instead of organizing sit-in Iftars, this year we will distribute food boxes instead. We will arrange everything on your behalf, from managing operations, reporting on attendance and providing photographic documentation. We are collaborating with Robin Hood Army who will be distributing nutritious meals on ground to the many Pakistanis who live on less than $2/day and don’t know where their next meal will come from.
With donations starting from only $2 dollar per person, you can sponsor Iftar meals for as many people as you wish. We request you to participate as generously as you can, and help us reach our target of feeding at least 25,000 people this Ramadan.
