Pakistan is among the countries that are most vulnerable to the effects of climate change. The nation faces a range of adverse impacts, such as frequent severe floods, droughts, heat waves, and extreme weather events. Additionally, Pakistan is grappling with significant environmental challenges, including air and water pollution, deforestation, and the degradation of natural ecosystems.

If we encourage youths from flood-affected areas to study climate change and environmental sciences, we can significantly improve our ability to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change. These young men and women can become future champions of sustainable development in their communities, working to develop solutions that mitigate the adverse impacts of climate change and environmental degradation.

Our Mission:

We have embarked on a mission to raise funds for 50 scholarships that will empower the youth from flood-affected areas to pursue higher education and technical skill-based training. Our primary focus is to encourage them to enter the field of climate change and environmental sciences. By doing so, we aim to address two pressing issues simultaneously: i) the adverse impacts of climate change and ii) the cycle of poverty that plagues their families.

Why This Matters:

The effects of climate change are not abstract concepts; they are devastating realities faced by many communities around the world, particularly those in flood-prone regions. These individuals are often disproportionately affected, bearing the brunt of environmental challenges. By nurturing their interest in environmental sciences and climate change advocacy, we can equip them with the knowledge and tools needed to combat these issues head-on.

Moreover, providing opportunities for higher education and skill-based training in Karachi and Lahore for those who migrate from flood-affected regions ensures that they have a chance at better opportunities and economic independence. This, in turn, contributes to the upliftment of their families and communities.

Our Scholarships:

  1. Higher Education Scholarships: We aim to provide scholarships for students pursuing programs related to environmental sciences, climate change advocacy, and research in these fields.
  2. Freshman Scholarships: For students migrating from flood-affected regions to Karachi and Lahore in pursuit of better opportunities, we offer both higher education scholarships and skill-based training to help them succeed in their new environment.
  3. Continuing Education Scholarships: We support 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students from interior Sindh and Balochistan who are already enrolled in top-tier institutes in Karachi and Lahore.
