Welcome to The i-Care Foundation’s donation platform. By using this website and making a donation, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Donation Process

  • All donations made through this website are processed by The i-Care Foundation, a registered nonprofit organization in Pakistan.
  • Your donation is intended for your selected charity or charities and is disbursed upon completion of due diligence, compliance checks, and fund-utilization requirements, in line with i-Care’s governance framework.

2. Fund Allocation & Reallocation

    • Donations are non-refundable.
    • Reallocation Requests:
      If you realize after making a donation that you have inadvertently selected an incorrect charity or charities; you may request a reallocation to another charity or charities within 72 hours of your donation by emailing info@i-care-foundation.org. Please note that donations are non-refundable; only reallocation requests can be accommodated within this window.
    • Unallocated Donations:
      If a donation is received without a specified charity, sector, or fund, the contribution will be temporarily placed in an unallocated category. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you using the available contact information on record. If we do not hear from you within six months of the donation date, or if we are unable to reach you despite these efforts, i-Care may allocate the funds to charitable initiatives aligned with its mission.
  • Unutilized or Undisbursable Funds

Disbursement of funds is subject to the submission of a valid Fund Utilization Plan (FUP) by the partner charity.

  • Non-Submission of FUP:
    Where a partner charity fails to submit an FUP for a continuous period of eight (8) months from the date the funds are received:

If donation above USD 500:
i-Care shall make reasonable efforts to contact the donor using the contact information available on record to seek guidance on reallocation. If no response is received within two (2) months of such efforts, the funds may be reallocated to another partner organization pursuing a similar charitable purpose.

If donations below USD 500:
Such funds may be reallocated to another partner organization pursuing a similar charitable purpose.

  • Cessation of Partner Charity:
    In the event a partner charity dissolves, becomes inactive, or otherwise ceases operations, the reallocation framework set out above shall apply.

3. Receipt Cancellation and Re-Issuance

i-Care reserves the right to cancel a donation receipt where necessary to ensure accuracy, compliance, or proper record-keeping. Receipt cancellation may occur for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Corrections or updates requested by the donor
  • Administrative or data corrections made by i-Care
  • Payment reversals, failed payments, or chargebacks
  • Adjustments arising from compliance, audit, or regulatory review

Once a receipt has been cancelled, it is deemed void and may not be used for tax-deduction or reporting purposes.

Where applicable, and subject to verification, i-Care may issue a revised receipt with a new receipt number. The issuance of a revised receipt does not occur automatically and is dependent on the finalization of accurate and complete information.

Donors are responsible for maintaining accurate tax records and are encouraged to consult their tax advisor where a cancelled or revised receipt has already been referenced for tax or reporting purposes.

4. Zakat & Donation Guidelines

  • You may donate to multiple charities in one transaction.
  • Zakat & non-Zakat funds must be donated in separate online transactions.
  • For cheque or wire transfers, Zakat and non-Zakat may be combined – clear allocation instructions must be emailed to i-Care.
  • When you select Zakat while donating online, only Zakat-eligible charities appear.

5. Vetting, Due Diligence & Compliance

i-Care applies a comprehensive vetting and compliance framework to all partner charities prior to onboarding and on an ongoing basis. This framework includes, but is not limited to, the following assessments:

  • Verification of legal status, nonprofit registration, and regulatory standing
  • Review of governance structures, board oversight, and institutional credibility
  • Assessment of program design, implementation capacity, and track record of program delivery
  • Evaluation of fundraising readiness, transparency, and donor-attraction potential
  • Review of policies, internal controls, and practices against standards comparable to those applicable to U.S. public charities

In addition, i-Care reserves the right to conduct due diligence on donors, donations, and transactions to comply with applicable anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), sanctions, and fraud-prevention laws and regulations.

Where required by law, or where suspicious, prohibited, or potentially non-compliant activity is identified, i-Care may delay, decline, suspend, reallocate, or report transactions to the relevant authorities and regulators, and may take any other action necessary to ensure full legal and regulatory compliance.

6. Sustainability Contribution

A 5% contribution from all donations supports i-Care’s operational costs and platform development.

7. Payment Gateway & Bank Charges

  • Additional bank or payment processing fees may apply.
  • These fees are determined by your financial institution or payment provider and are not retained by i-Care.

8. Donation Receipts & Tax Benefits

  • You will receive an official donation receipt after your transaction is complete and funds are credited in our bank account.
  • Tax benefits depend on the laws of your jurisdiction.

9. Right to Decline Donations

i-Care reserves the right to review and decline any donation. In such cases, a refund may be issued at i-Care’s discretion.

10. Donor Responsibilities

Donors must provide accurate and complete information, including:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Postal address

11. Donor Representations & Warranties

By donating, the donor confirms that:

  • The funds belong to them and are not derived from illegal or fraudulent activity.
  • They are not on sanction lists (e.g., OFAC, SDN, NACTA).
  • Donations are voluntary and do not entitle them to any goods, services, or preferential treatment.

12. i-Care Foundation’s Responsibilities

i-Care will:

  • Issue official donation receipts
  • Conduct due diligence before onboarding charities
  • Disburse funds after all documentation and compliance steps are complete

13. Data Privacy & Security

How We Use Your Information

i-Care is committed to protecting your personal data and handles all donor information in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws in Pakistan.

We use your information solely for the following purposes:

  • Donation processing and record-keeping
  • Issuance of donation receipts
  • Regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements
  • Essential donor communications
  • Marketing and outreach activities aimed at increasing awareness of and support for i-Care’s charitable mission

Your personal information is not sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. Any use of data for marketing or outreach is conducted securely, in line with applicable privacy standards, and strictly for purposes aligned with i-Care’s charitable objectives. Information may be shared only where required by law or to meet regulatory obligations.

14. Communications & Consent

By making a donation, you consent to receive communications from i-Care via:

  • Email
  • Text message
  • WhatsApp
  • iMessage
  • Postal mail
  • Phone call (where necessary)

You may opt out of non-essential or marketing-related communications at any time by contacting us. Transactional, regulatory, and legally required communications will continue to be sent as necessary.

15. Who Has Access

  • Your data is managed securely by The i-Care Foundation.
  • Partner charities do not receive your personal data.

16. Credit Card Information

  • i-Care does not store credit card information.
  • Online payments are processed through secure, internationally compliant systems meeting Pakistan’s regulatory standards and PCI-DSS requirements.

17. General Terms of Use

  • You must provide accurate information when using the website.
  • Fraudulent or unlawful activities are strictly prohibited.
  • All website content is the intellectual property of i-Care.
  • i-Care is not responsible for delays arising from force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, war, cyberattacks).
  • i-Care is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
  • i-Care is not responsible for content on external websites linked from this platform.
  • Terms may be updated periodically; continued use of the website signifies acceptance of any updates.
