Taking out Poverty with the power of Education
This is the story of a 6 year old Asma Yousuf. She was born in the slums of Karachi and lives with her parents and 7 siblings. Her father runs a shop while her mother collects garbage for a living. One may wonder how Asma’s parents would ensure their children receive a good education. That’s where Yusuf, Asma’s father, is proving the world wrong. He has enrolled all his children in classes at Idara Al Khair. Idara Al-Khair is an i-Care Foundation supported charity working to provide free and subsidised education and health services to the most vulnerable and poor families living in the slums of Karachi.
