Playground for Karachi’s Forgotten Children
Khel is one of a kind purpose built recreational facility for children living in the slums of Karachi. Manned by a team of trained professionals who are assisted by volunteers, Khel offers arts and crafts, sports, including football, cricket, and gymnastics. Khel was established by i-Care Foundation partner charity, the Imkaan Welfare Organisation who work with communities in Machar Colony which is one of the largest slums in Asia. Khel now has almost a hundred and fifty children attending daily. This means a hundred and fifty children are now off the streets of this slum; free from harm, strengthening their self esteem, and engaged in improving their lot in life.
